It is with great pleasure that I finally get to write up a very special Ingress report: Yesterday night at 11pm, we managed to build Europe’s first Smurfette L8 portal in Mainz, Germany. It’s been a personal project of mine since January to get a critical mass of fierce female Resistance agents together to do just that.  After I had read about the first blue L8 portal in the world (Lady Herons/U.S.) on March 4 (https://plus.google.com/u/0/114800310452543164210/posts/8TArMKkJxL5), I decided to take action and put out a call for participation across several European Resistance communities, but to no avail: There were only a few scattered agents and it seemed impossible to find a suitable location and meeting time. 

Thanks to the initiative of our players in Mainz, we decided rather spontaneously to meet and work our combined Smurfette magic. After babysitters were found and busy schedules tweaked, it turned out that 11pm was the only time slot that would work for us, like, ever, to go and get a pedicure together. 😉  We turned “Pedicure in Mainz?” dark purple and just barely got in our hacks before the Enlightened troops crashed the party. Rarely did we see frog players respond faster than that night.  ^^

It was seriously awesome to play together and we are saluting our fellow Smurfettes all over the world. They are doing great agent work kicking frog butts every day and more blue all-female L8 portals are sure to show up soon!
