Hi
Hi
On Saturday I going to visit Vienna to collect some unique portals. So I want to ask you which prepaid SIM card do I have to buy. I am going to spend only one day day in Austria, so I need data only for one day.
So which operator you recommend to me
– I will need about 1GB
– with no difficult data activation
– good price is preffered 😀
And where can I buy it
Thanx in advance for you suggestions.

I think theres a prepaid ‚bob‘ datacard at Lidl supermarket available. I don’t know the exaxt price, but it’s sure one of the cheapest.

The Bob Datacard at Lidl stores (grocery store chain): 15 Euro, 1 GB included(dont find information after how much days the data expires)

Another Option:
T-Mobile. 10 Euro for the Starterpackage. 10 GB included(expires after 30 days and seems to be activated by just inserting the sim card and using the pin for the first time) (SURFKLAX 10 GB Internet Wertkarte)

There you have the Shopfinder: http://www.t-mobile.at/info-und-support/shopfinder/index.php#
But whatever you want to buy: Better print the exact information upfront on a paper to show it to the vendor . And control what ever they give you(nano vs. micro, full size and data vs. speech…)

Yes, the „Yesss“ classicthing is also an option. 1cent/MB. 5 Euro already inluded in the starterpackage https://www.yesss.at/tarife-wertkarte/tarife/7/108
You get those at „Hofer“ stores (also a grocery store chain, so maybe also a language barrier thing. English will most definitely not be spoken by the personel)
There you find the „Hofer“ stores: https://www.hofer.at/de/infos-und-services/infos/filialsuche-und-oeffnungszeiten/
(Put „Wien“ into the „Ort“(Place) Box and hit „Suchen“(search))

Thanks A lot guys, I think Yesss wil be absolutely perfect choise for me, 5 Euros is OK 😀
But last question – if I want to activate data packet https://www.yesss.at/tarife-wertkarte/zusatzpakete/7/111
I only send SMS containing „paket 1GB ein“ to the number 810 820 and it activated ?
Sorry for stupid questions, but I am not wery good in german 😀
Johannes Max Loeffler (MilkTheGoat)| 2. Juli 2014
Yes. Then you get 1 GB for 30 days for 4 Euros.
Johannes Max Loeffler (MilkTheGoat)| 2. Juli 2014
Which is actually even better than just doing nothing and lossing 1 cent / MB 🙂
