Joe Philley made some interesting and informative comments on a post (http://goo.gl/lvDDY). Regarding his comments we can expect some very cool updates in the next few weeks. One addition will be to raise the level cap. There is no word about the new max level, but this will motivate some L8 players to go on. The team is also working on a new system to get new portals faster into the game. Keep submitting portals!
Joe also mentioned that the beta will still go on for another 18+ months and that we don’t have to fear a reset once the game goes „public“.
An advise to all cheaters, they have a dedicated group of the team which is going after them and they are catching cheaters and abusers every day. If you see abnormal activities in the game log, please report it to the team!
Another quite interesting statement was about more faction and/or RPG elements. Both of it will be possibly in the game in the future.
As usual, you should be aware that all this could change at any given time. No guarantee that all features get into the game.
