The Resistance Faction in Singapore raised 780 Level 8 Portals on 9 June 2013 in Operation BBQ.
The 63 agents involved in the Operation were split into day and night teams.
The daytime phase of the operation commenced with seeding of multiple Level 7 portals on 8 June.
The plan was to seed as many P7 as possible during the day, and silently upgrade them to P8 during the night.
0017 hours on 9 June, there were 251 L8 Resistance Portals.
As the night time operations proceeded, 30 agents proceeded to raise a further 529 Level 8 Portals to have a total of 780 Level 8 Portals held by the Resistance. 7 agents coordinated ops room functions to monitor the progress of the operations, and guide the numerous teams out in the field.
Achievements:
A record 780 Level 8 portals concurrently held in a single city
529 Level 8 portals created in 7.5 hours
1.2 Level 8 portals created per minute
