X-Faction Operation Riesenrad
Agent zement (Resistance) hatte sich vor einiger Zeit im Gespräch mit ZoeyJones und Mrice26 (Enlightened) bereit erklärt, gerne einmal eine X-Faction Aktion zu machen.
Als ZoeyJones (enl.) und Mrice26 (enl.) von dem Wettbewerb in der Enlightened Community hörten, entflammte die Idee von neuem und es kam gemeinsam mit den Agenten chabba (res.) , zement (res.) und Scorttatto (res.) zur Ideenfindung und Planung.
Nach einem langen Abend einigte man sich auf eine Idee und der Plan stand fest: es sollte ein Wahrzeichen Wiens werden und zwar das Riesenrad.
Um den gesamten Plan, welcher mit Kochtopf gezeichnet wurde :-), etwas interessanter zu gestalten, wurde das Gebiet innerhalb des 1. Wiener Gemeindebezirks gezeichnet. (Hoch frequentierter Lvl Ground)
Einige SpielerInnen von Enlightened und Resistance wurden rekrutiert und die gesamte Community informiert, dass in der Nacht von Samstag auf Sonntag im 1. nicht gelinkt werden sollte.
Am Samstag 18.01.2014 um 22:00 trafen sich alle beim Wiener Stephansdom.
Die Teams wurden, bestehend aus drei Auto-Teams, einem Fußgänger-Team und einem Rad- Team von Agent smover (enl.) so eingeteilt, dass immer sowohl Resistance als auch Enlightened Spieler ausreichend pro Team und Gebiet zusammen gespielt haben.
Um ein Auge auf die Ziele der zu bereinigenden Sperrlinks zu haben, wurde BrunzBub (enl.) als Operator zu seinem Debüt-Einsatz vor dem PC rekrutiert.
Gegen 23:00 wurden die ersten Keys aus dem Zentrum Wiens zusammengetragen und an die jeweiligen Teams verteilt.
Ein Sperrlink nach dem anderen wurde sauber entfernt und ein “Flügel” nach dem anderen wurde gelinkt. Als dann fast alle “Flügel” standen kamen die ersten Probleme: Flügel eins wurde zerstört, doch das Team von Flügel 1 begann sofort mit den Reparaturarbeiten. Als er wieder stand, begann Flügel 4 zu fallen, jedoch wurde auch hier alles wieder aufgebaut.
Im Anschluss beteiligten sich alle Teams am Bau und an der Freilegung der Stützen und des Grundes.
Gegen 02:30 stand schließlich und endlich das Gesamtbild, welches bis am Sonntag Mittag stehen blieb. Die Feld Mu’s betrugen zwischen 300 und 600 Mu’s, jedoch wurde auf das gar nicht Wert gelegt.
Dank der guten Absprache via Zello und Hangouts unter den Teams und unter den Fraktionen ging das gesamte Event so über die Bühne, als gäbe es keinen Wettstreit zwischen Schlumpf und Frosch.
Wir alle waren EIN Team.

Some time ago, while a Smalltalk, the agents zement (Resistance), Mrice26 and ZoeyJones (both Enlightened) agreed to arrange a cross faction field art.
When Mrice26 and ZoeyJones heard about a cross faction field art competition of the local Austrian Enlightened community, they revived the idea. Together with the agents chabba, zement and Scorttatto (all res.) they began brainstorming to find a theme.
After a long productive evening, they found the perfect theme: The „Wiener Riesenrad“, a tall Ferris wheel at the entrance of the Prater amusement park and one of the famous landmarks in Vienna.
So, to make the plan (which has been drawn with a cooking pot 🙂 ) a bit more attractive, the field art should be placed in the center of Vienna, a hard-fought leveling ground.
For Saturday, January 18th, some agents of both factions have been recruited and the Viennese community has been informed that the field art took place to minimize the risk of crosslinks.
The agents met at 10 pm at St. Stephen’s Cathedral and have been grouped in teams by agent smover (enl.). The teams were split to three cars, one pedestrian team and one bike team. Brunzbub (enl.) had been the operator for this night (his debut) and checked the Intel map for crosslinks and other unforeseen events.
At 11 pm the first keys from the center of the wheel had been collected and provided to the teams.
One by one crosslink has been removed and the fields were created. When the wings of the wheel were almost done, the first problems occurred: The first wing has been destroyed, but the wing team immediately began with the repair works. Shortly after the wing was repaired, the fourth wing was destroyed and the team had to rebuild it.
When all wings were finished, the teams began to create the two mainstays and the base together. The whole field art was finished at around 2:30 am on Sunday. Each field had about 300 to 600 mind units, but this was not the main task at that day. The field art remained until Sunday noon.
Thanks to the good collusion via Zello and Hangouts between the teams and the factions it seemed as that there is no competition between smurfs and frogs.
We all were ONE team.
